I finally found a hat (hats actually), but now I'm having a hard time figuring out what to wear with the hat. I bought a new red dress tonight, but I'm not so sure that the hat and the dress go together. I had KB take some photogs and would love for the readers to decide! Please excuse the terribleness of the photos.....KB's not the most talented in the photog department.

PS...huge shout out to one of my favorite stylistas Erica for letting me know where to score these fabulous hats!

Eat What You Want Day
Since Blogger is being as moody as a 13 year old, I'm now finally able to post this.....even though it's been 2 days since Eat What You Want day.
According the the Hungry Girl and my co-workers Oriental Trading calendar, today is National Eat What You Want Day!
I celebrated accordingly with:
By the handfuls....I was ashamed
Chicken Enchilada Casserole right out of the oven.
So delicious.

Technical Difficulties
I have a lovely post about all the nasty things I've eaten today in honor of national Eat What You Want Day.....but Blogger isn't being so lovely.
Apparently my server is in it's weird awkward teen years.....it keeps getting rejected.

Weekend Recap
Since we were so busy celebrating this lovely little lady....
I didn't so a Menu Sunday post!
Here's what the Browns will be eating this week:
Mon: Grilled Southwestern Pasta Salad
We just finished eating this and it was delicioso. We don't have a real grill, so I wasn't able to grill the vegetables or the steak, but it was still good with just canned corn and sauteed steak. I added a bit of hot sauce to the dressing to give it a kick.
Tues: Eating with KB's mom
She was getting her deck redone on Mother's Day weekend, so this is our late Mother's Day dinner.
Wed: Chicken Enchilada Casserole
If you can't tell already, I've been really into Mexican food recently. I ate it twice last week and I'll be making it twice this week. I love Mexican casseroles and this one looks muy bueno with lots of veggies and beans.
Thurs: Impossibly Easy Hot Dog 'n Cheese Pie
I'll admit....this sounds pretty gross. It also doesn't look super appetizing, but I prefer not to judge a book by its cover. I love hot dogs and could eat them for every meal (I'm not kidding) and this recipe looks easy. A lot of the reviews said that it looked kinda gross, but tasted really good.
Fri: Anniversary dinner somewhere
Mine and KB's one year anniversary is Sunday, so we'll probably go out to dinner on Friday or Saturday. I told him I didn't really care where we went today and he suggested Long John Silver's......I think I'm going to start caring.
What goodies will you be eating this week???

Thoughts on a Thursday
It's time for Thoughts on a Thursday....link up with Carolyn to play along.
- I'm pretty sure I'm the only person on the face of the planet that didn't think this book was one of the most amazing life changing books ever written:
- In an effort to spend more time together and understand each other's hobbies (which I pretty much have none), I'll be spending early Saturday morning turkey "hunting" with KB. I've already told him that I won't touch the gun, shoot a turkey, or watch if he does. I'm thinking I'll probably fall asleep or end up making some noise that will scare the turkeys. I'm still thinking about what I can make him do.
- I've been itching to get a good manicure lately and I need a good spring color. I'm thinking a pale pink, but not too sheer or a springy purple color. Any suggestions?

Hats Off to Me...
Actually it will be hats on to me.
After seeing all the royal wedding hoopla I have become slightly obsessed with hats. I'm planning on wearing one to a slightly less royal nuptial in a couple of weeks, but I can't seem to find one that I like that also isn't a bajillion dollars (ok maybe slightly less than that).
I'm looking for something a little more like this:
Or this:
And a little less like this:

Suggestions????? I'm thinking about possibly making my own if I can't find any good ones.

Menu Monday
I've really been slacking in the menu department! For the second week in a row, here's a menu Sunday post....not on a Sunday.
Mon: Pasta with Bacon and Cauliflower
This sounds weird and it probably is. I'm cooking it now and our house is definitely smelling a little funky. I love cauliflower and I had bacon leftover from last week......this was the best I could come up with!
Tues: Slow Cooker Sausage, Peppers, Onions and Garlicky Tomatoes
This recipe reminds me of the really good polish sausages that you get at the State Fair. The ones with all the peppers and onions. I got these really good hoagie rolls to eat this on and I'm already excited.
Wed: Crab Soup
I have leftover crab from a recipe last week, so I need to use it up. This recipe is out of my slow cooker cookbook. I've never had crab soup like this before. It has a tomato base instead of a cream base. We'll see how it goes!
Thurs: Something from the freezer
We're still eating out of the freezer. I'm thinking we'll probably have For The Love of Cooking's beef stew that I made a while back. We still have a ton left and I need room in my freezer for all the random produce that's going to start showing up soon.
Fri: Something I don't cook!
I'm really getting into this whole "not cook on a Friday" thing. I'm not sure what we're going to be doing, but I know it won't involve me cooking.
