Thankful Thursday

I'm jumping on the bandwagon and throwing some things out there that I'm thankful for today.

Link up with Lovely Little Whimsy to play along.

a punk, a pumpkin and a peanut

My sweet little babies - They were so good this morning and didn't put up a fuss when we left at all. They were also really sweet and laid in bed with me this morning when I didn't want to get up.

KB - He drove me to work this morning and is coming to pick me up.

Green Tea - You are so warm and delicious this morning. I got really cold coming into work and you warmed me right up.

Pretty weather - it's been so gross here lately and it's finally going to be sunny and somewhat warm for this time of year.

What are you thankful for today???

Weekend Happenings

We decided to get out a little bit this weekend and take the puppies for a little walk.

It was bright and sunny when we left, but shortly upon getting there it rained.....really hard....for a long time.  We went to Craggy Gardens on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  It wasn't too far from our house, but we had never been there before.  While it was raining we ate lunch and then after it stopped we went on a little walk with the puppies.

KB being a mountain man with his manly dogs.

You should have been able to see lots of mountains beyond there, but since it rained all we saw was fog.

Eventually it cleared off and you could see some of the mountains.

Somebody got tired and needed some assistance.

Somebody else got tired too.

We walked for a few miles and then turned around because it started raining again.

There were lots of wildflowers in bloom while we were there and I saw this little guy.

Hopefully we'll go back when we can see a little bit more besides lazy pugs and fog.

Auld Lang Syne....

I can't say I'm too sad to see 2010 go.  New Year's is one of my favorite times.  I like how everything switches over and you can kind of forget about all the sucky things that happened in the year before.  That being said, 2010 was a pretty good year for us here at the Brown household.  Here are some of our highlights:

This is a biggie....we got married.  May 15, 2010 was an especially good day for the Browns!  Our ceremony only lasted like 10 minutes and luckily for us it was the only 10 minutes of the day that it didn't rain.

We went on a few vacations.  Unfortunately KB wasn't able to take that much time off of work when we got married, so we never really went on a honeymoon.  Good for me, like 3 weeks later I went to the beach with my family and some special people (holla Skinny and her photog skills).

We added this little guy to our family.  Pancho has turned out to be a really sweet, sometimes crazy guy and I'm not sure what I would do without him.  He is definitely a super fabulous mamma's boy.

My little KB had a big year.  Early last year he got transferred to a new position at his company dealing with big people stuff like 401ks and retirements.  He also became the lead singer of a band in town (Mudcutt represent!) and caught a bunch of fish.

I had a pretty interesting year to say the least.  I've had 3 jobs this year, been unemployed once, lost 10 pounds, gained back like 20 and overall had a lot of smiles and laughter.

Bring it on 2011!

Me Llamo Pancho...

This little guy....

formerly Ziggy is now known as Pancho.  He's named after this guy....

Pancho Villa....mostly because he's a huge trouble maker and is a chihuahua.  Senor Pancho was the Mexican governor of the state of Chihuahua and was a big trouble maker (yeah for finally using all the random things I learned in years of Mexican history classes!)
Or this slightly handsomer version if you like!
