Squashing

I have never cooked/prepared/eaten butternut squash.  I think it'd be good and I think it'd taste good but cooking it makes me feel like this...

When I want it to be something like this:

Do you have any good butternut squash recipes that I won't be too scared of?  I'm up for anything!

  2. I LOVE squash!! First, when it comes to butternut and acorn, pop them whole in the microwave for a few minutes until they are easy to cut in half length-wise. This is a LIFE SAVER tip! Next, scoop out the seeds and you are good to go. You can roast them in the oven and then cut them up. Cut them up now to puree later. My very favorite is to take an acorn squash and fill it with apples, rasins, pecans, a little butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and bake for 20 mins. Mmmm!

  3. I cut it into chunks and then steamed it and then mashed it. I thought it was ok, Justin didn't like it too much. And I know you're jealous that I share my birthday with Kim Kardashian.
