Reading Rainbow...

Take a look....it's in a book.....

Just like Levar Burton, I'm going to tell you my favorite books I'm reading these days.

This is one of the best books that I've read in a really long time.  I went into it thinking that I would hate it, especially with all the hype I'd heard about The Kite Runner.  Last night it was all I could do to stop myself from reading it and go to bed.  It actually almost made me cry....almost.....I couldn't let KB see what a weirdo I was for crying over a book.  It is really moving and I definitely want to read more of Khaled Hosseini's books now.

KB actually got me this book for Valentine's Day a really long time ago and I'm re-reading it now.  It has lots of useful factoids and tidbits in a funny easy to read style.  I normally don't read nonfiction books, but this one is pretty good.  It's very easy to understand, but also has lots of useful info about keeping yourself pretty....inside and out.

So....what are you reading these days?

Hmmmmm????

  1. I haven't thought about the Reading Rainbow song in YEARS! Classic.

I read A Thousand SPlendid Suns a few years ago and oh. my. word. It made such a huge impact on me. At some points I actually had to put it down and take a break but I LOVED it. Enjoy the rest!

um...you pretty much know what i'm reading. i'm actually waiting on my podunk library to get in some books for me by lisa gardner (fbi profiler series) so i don't have to buy them for my e-reader. i pre-ordered the latest charlaine harris books...and if you haven't started reading those you MUST. they are SO good.

  3. I just finished ATSS last week and cried throughout the whole book. Thank God we live in America, I can't imagine how hard it is for women in other countries.

i just started reading the help and love it!
