I'm linking up with Confessions of a Northern Belle today.
I confess...I'm glad KB's plants took off well, but I'm ready for them to be out of my house. It's been too cold to put them out yet so they are living on my kitchen table, floor, tables in our house...anywhere there is room.
I confess...I just started my job 3 months ago, but I'm ready for a vacation. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I'm so busy now that sometimes I can hardly see straight. I want a good week somewhere tropical now (not in September).
I confess....I've eaten way too much Easter candy. My mother in law loves to make Easter baskets even though her children are full grown adults.
I confess...I picked a bunch of flowers from my neighbor's yard when he wasn't home. He's a bachelor that doesn't take care of his yard at all and has the cutest little grape hyacinths everywhere.....so I took a bunch.
I confess...I have watched Roadhouse 3 times in the past week. I was around when KB was watching it last weekend, it was on again earlier that week and then we watched it (like sat down and actually paid attention to it) last night. It's not even that great of a movie. I mean...Patrick Swayze rips some guy's throat out. Unbelievable.

Confession Time
I'm linking up with Confessions of a Northern Belle again to confess my weirdness for this week.
I confess....I've been going crazy on the garden stuff recently. I've already ordered 3 different orders of plants and am just waiting on them to get here so I can plant them. I had KB cut down a ton of trees in our yard, get me a ton of mulch and just generally do lots of hard convict labor. Our yard looked terrible last summer because we moved in during the spring when it was too late to do much. Not this year. Oh no.
I confess... I got mud all over my shoes and blamed it on Rosa just to see what KB would do. Rosa is his special little girl and can do no wrong in his eyes. He didn't seem to care, but I'm not sure he would've cared if I had just said that I got mud all over the carpet either.
I confess.... I'm kind of fed up with a contractor that I really liked. We're trying to get our kitchen redone and I had a handful of contractors come out to give me bids. I only really liked one of them when he was here....of course he's the one that still hasn't given me an estimate. It's been almost a month. Come one dude.
I confess.... I had big plans to work in the yard yesterday afternoon because it was sunny and it was still daylight, but instead I just ended up watching a few episodes of Girls and calling it a day.
I confess...Besides watching a few episodes of Girls I also watched almost an entire season of Veep. It's hilarious! I saw it pop up on our On Demand stuff and thought I would give it a try. That spiraled out of control into watching almost an entire season.

Hello my pretty....
I'll be getting this little pretty today...
I'm not sure how I'm going to redo it. Maybe something like this...
Or leave it natural like this...
Whatever I do with it, KB is convinced that this is what it'll look like...
Maybe that can be our Christmas card next year.

It's Okay Thursday
It's okay to......
- fall asleep on the count at 8:30 and completely miss all of your TV shows. That's what the DVR is for.
-get really excited about paint colors, but put off actually painting for a few weeks (it will get done this weekend though).
-eat a bunch of your birthday cake the day after your birthday. KB made it so I had to eat it.
-go to work hungover the day after your birthday. 26 is not that far from 21, right?
-listen to the same song over and over again. I'm looking at you Justin Bieber.
-wear the same pair of leggings for 2 days in a row (including sleeping in them).
-try to make black bean burgers and not really read the recipe. They failed miserably.
-not read all the info on the Pottery Barn website. I have monogrammed pillow cases coming out the ass. Who knew there would be 2 in a package? Ummmm pretty much everyone.....but me.

Randoms
I've been doing lots of fun projects around the house, but I'm too lazy right now to take pictures of them. Updates coming soon with lots of ginger jars (who knew Goodwill was the best source around for ginger jars), really masculine paint colors, a big framed deer painting and much more.
So what if I've watched Pretty Woman two nights in a row. KB has been gone dealing with dramaz and it's a cute movie. Also, hello Richard Gere? I know you are old, but you look real good in that suit and I love me some Wall Street types. Just about nothin' is better than powerful men that know how to handle money and wear suits almost everyday. Rawr.
Something in our master bathroom is leaking into our laundry room ceiling. There is a huge wet spot and we're probably going to have to rip out some drywall once we see what's leaking. Of course KB isn't here to deal with it. He just told me to shut the toilet off and he'd deal with it later. Awesome.
I've been ramping it up on the treadmill recently. I did an interval workout earlier today that was an hour and a half long. It really wasn't that bad. It looked terrible on paper and I thought I would give up pretty early on, but I stuck with it and it ended up going by really fast.
This show....let's discuss.
I love me some rednecks. I married into a family that has a bunch of them (luckily KB is only a part time redneck when convenient). I watched the first two episodes yesterday and they were hilarious. It's super staged and you can tell that most of these kids have got some money from somewhere because of the sheer amount of 4 Wheelers and pick ups, but I really like it. It's sort of like hanging out with my brother in law and his redneck friends over the summer - it's fun while you're doing it, but you're pretty glad you're not like that all the time. One of the funniest people on there is Shain. It goes without saying that my redneck brother in law shares the name, the weird stache, the accent where sometimes you need subtitles and the constant dip in the mouth.
We're I'm in the process of choosing paint colors for our house. Whyyyy is this so hardddd? I got some samples today and painted a little bit, but it's so hard to figure out how it's going to look on a major scale. I'm going for a dark green exterior, with an antique white trim and dark brown porch. That's way harder to find than it sounds.

It's OK
It's OK....
-To fall asleep on the couch at 8:30 and wake up at 2:30 not knowing where you are.
-To drink 2 cups of hot chocolate after dinner....and then some green tea.....and then some hot Emergen C.
-To be super excited about getting packages...even though nothing in them is for me.
-To be almost done with my Christmas shopping!
-To hit your neighbor's mailbox with your car and rip off your side mirror.
-To expect KB to fix said broken side mirror even though he didn't do it.
-To watch every episode of Catfish on MTV. Such a weird and sad show.
-To want a whole new wardrobe. I'm over every piece of clothing I own.
-To want to be a stay at home mom.....to my dogs.
-To want to eat a big fat cheeseburger, even though your head is so stopped up you can't taste it.
What's OK with you today?

Thoughts on a Thursday
It's been another hellacious week this week, so there's lots of thoughts in my mind, they're probably just really boring to you!
Here are some non-boring thoughts:
- I'm so ready to be here:
Work has been crazy busy and stressful for the past few weeks and I can't wait to be on a lovely little island with just my favorite people. We pushed our trip out about a month this year and it is draggginnnggg. Only a couple more weeks!
-I'm thinking about doing a really crazy fun manicure/pedicure for the beach. I want a crazy neon color. What are some good options? I've been looking at OPI's neon collection, but I don't know if I want to go that crazy.
- I've been zoning out to lots of mindless TV recently. This is a recent fave...
-I've been drinking lots of this. It's probably terrible for you, but it tastes amazing and only costs 60 cents for a whole bottle.
-I really want to see this movie when it comes out. I always think movies about drugs are so interesting. Drugs, Inc is one of the most interesting shows on TV. It's just crazy to see how huge drug cartels work. I'm also really liking Salma Hayek's character in this movie - she looks pretty badass.

Thoughts on a Thursday
I've got lots of random things banging around my head today. Enjoy!
I got a fun little target beauty goodie bag in the mail this week. Mine looks like this:
So far I haven't used anything but I want to try out the Simple face wipes first. I got a sample of Simple face wash a while ago and it works really well. At this point I have enough beauty samples to probably last me for a year or two.
All of our flowers in our yard are blooming! My irises, peonies and roses are starting to bloom. The yard is still a mess so it's kind of weird to see all the flowers peeping out from the weeds and brush. If I was really crafty I'd turn my peonies into a beautiful bouquet like this. Too bad I'm not crafty.
Keeping up with the other wholesome TV shows that I watch, I've been checking out My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding. These people are in the foothills of WV and VA. That is not that far from where we live. We could have American gypsies right here! The next time I see a trashy looking teenager getting her nails done in Wal-Mart I will mos def be on the lookout for a TLC crew.
I'm thinking of recreating mine and KB's wedding photos. Get ready.

Thoughts on a Thursday
I'm thinking about these things on this Thursday....
-We're looking at a few more houses this afternoon and have one really promising showing lined up. If we like it we might make an offer..eeeekkkk. I'm a little worried we won't like it, but if we do I will be so happy that we're done looking. I'm ready to have a life back!
-I made this for dinner last night and it was amazing. KB wasn't too big of a fan, but I thought it was really good. If you like asparagus than you'll love it.
- One of KB's frat brothers is coming into town this weekend and I'm excited to make something fun. I may make this, but with deer.
- I stocked up on some really cheap gingerbread cookie dough that I had a coupon for (extreme couponer moment). Any ideas? I'd like to use at least one roll to do something fun with and not just make cookies.
- I've finally gotten caught on my Teen Mom. These people are crazy. I'm starting to not even like it anymore because Janelle needs to get over herself, Kailyn just needs to get back with Jo already, Chelsea needs to leave Adam in the dust and Leah needs to stop cheating on people.
- I won a really cool giveaway from Kim and The Shabby Apple. Show these ladies some love.

- It's finally starting to really feel like winter here in a BIG way and I've been living in these recently...
Just like LL Bean said....they are wicked good.
- I'm so behind on my Christmas shopping. I haven't bought anybody anything. I at least sort of have a list, but it's stressing me out that I don't have anything. I'm thinking about hitting up the mall really early on Saturday to get most of it knocked out.
- I really wanted to watch the premiere of this earlier in the week. Unfortunately I didn't make it until 10:00. Story of my life. Was it good?
- The Brown household has been on a major winning streak recently. Thanks to Meg and Bon Bon Rose I've won some good giveaways. I won an award at work that came with a $50 Amazon gift card and today KB won an award at his work that had $100 cash. Go us!

Go Heels Go America
I'm not normally a real patriotic person. I'm also not normally a huge basketball fan. Don't get me wrong, Chapel Hill has 4 years of my life and big chunk of my heart (and KB's), but I'm just not a bball fan.
BUT.......
This is pretty cool.
Go Heels....Go America.

Guilty Pleasure
I hadn't thought about the glory that is Chris Pontius of SteveO for a really long time until I was bumming around NetFlix and saw that every episode of WildBoyz ever made was on instant stream. We watched the entire first season yesterday. Something about the way Chris Pontius laughs and the way SteveO screams like a little school girl makes me laugh so hard that I lose control. This is totally worth the $16 rip off that is NetFlix now.

Thoughts on a Thursday
It's time for all of my thoughts on a Thursday (aren't you excited!)
Link up with Carolyn to play along
Link up with Carolyn to play along
- The President landed and spoke in the town I work in and then went and ate lunch at a restaurant in my home town. Holla rural NC!
- It's not even really cold here yet, but my skin is already super dry. I've been obsessed with these this week:
- I've been watching this show a lot for some reason recently. It's not really that good and a lot of the city guys are annoying because they are obnoxious and a lot of the country boys are too done up. I married a pretty country boy and I could never imagine him doing a lot of the stuff that they do. Needless to say I will be tuning in to the season premiere tonight.
- There are some "Occupy" protesters camped out in front of our office. I'm not really sure what they are protesting, but from the looks of it they have a real problem with showers and hairbrushes.
What are your thoughts on a Thursday???
